Membership The association comprises active members, support members, and honorary members. 1. Active members: They are the persons to whom membership terms and conditions apply. 2. Support Members: They are the economic affairs experts and the concerned businessmen. 3. Honorary Members: They are not subscribed members, while the Board of Directors shall appoint such members ex offiicio as dignitaries or scientific status, or for their positive endeavors in the service of the Association
Membership terms: 1. A member must not be derived from practicing civil and political rights. 2. A member must be an Syrian citizen, or equivalent. 3. A member must be of good conduct, and over 22 years old. 4. A members must have an academic qualification of no less than a high school certificate, or have practiced commerce for more than 10 years as a proprietor (or chairman of the board of an owned business) 5. To accept in writing the articles of Association. 6. To submit a membership application vowing availability of all the hereinabove conditions, with full name, address, methods of subscription fee payment, and which the subscription fees are attached. Membership is hereinafter granted following approval of the Board of Director. Membership Revocation: • If the member withdraw membership in writing. • If the member did not fulfill any of the membership qualifying terms. • Dismissal. • If the membership fees were one year overdue.
The membership may be revoked as well by a decision form the board of Directors. Nevertheless, the Board of Directors membership is revoked thereof by a decision from the General Assembly, and by a majority of tow third of the Assembly members. A member is thereinafter dismissed in the following cases: 1. If the member undertakes an endeavor that causes extreme material or moral damage to the Association. 2. If the member exploits the Association for personal goals that causes damage to the Association endeavors and purposes. The member is thereinafter notified of the Board Directors decision to revoke the membership within (15) days of issuing such a decision. The Board of Directors is entitled to re-instate a lost due to overdue subscription fees, if such a subscription is made in full. The membership fees or the subscription fees or the donations and grants extended to the association may not be reimbursed to any member or , dismissed member, nor the heirs of the member in case of perish, nor has the right to the Association fund unless in terms of the exchanged aid funds or pension fund (upon creation)
